SHINE a light on Child Abuse and Neglect

Did you know..

1 in 3 girls and 1 in 5 boys will suffer sexual abuse before their 18th Birthday.
1 in 5 children who touch a device will be sexually solicited online.
There are 42 million survivors of child sexual abuse living in the U.S.

The statistics are staggering…but the solution is clear: 95% of child sexual abuse is preventable with education and awareness.

Chances are you know a survivor of child sexual abuse. They could be a family member, a friend or colleague, or someone in your faith community. One way to SHINE for survivors is to educate yourself and be prepared to talk about this difficult topic in a sensitive and supportive way.

This is WHY we SHINE and WHY we WALK.
